I began practicing yoga asana in my early twenties and have been following this ancient practice for over 12 years. I started my training in Bristol under the Iyengar lineage and completed my first teacher training course in 2006, going on to take another certification under this lineage in 2009.

Since then I have been exploring and immersing myself in various spiritual and meditation traditions, studying and visiting a range of teachers from Mother Amma to the Dalai Lama to Satya Narayan Goenka and Juan Ruiz of Pneuma System.

Through my practice and teaching I aim to bring to light the heart and soul of that which we call Yoga.

Our bodies are the vehicles for spirit, and through them we have the potential to radiate abundant strength, vitality and joy. By practicing yoga we are able to consciously cultivate our bodies and minds, opening the doors to deep states of connection, of union, of love and of peace. We release old blockages, move through tension and stress, and access profound spaces of relaxation.

As well as teaching yoga I also leads regular sacred chanting circles. Chanting mantras and sacred songs is an ancient spiritual practice and can be found across the globe in many different traditions. These evenings provide us with the opportunity to gather together in song, surrounding ourselves with sacred music. We sit in meditation, singing from our hearts and immersing ourselves in music which express all aspects of divinity. This practice is neither bound by religion nor spiritual denomination. All are welcome and no previous experience is required.

I hope to see you at class soon!

Namaste
