Moving on….
So, after a long drive and days of packing and repacking boxes of belongings, i’ve finally arrived in the south of France and am settling into my new life here. Ella and Ed are full to the brim with yurt and bell tent bookings all summer and the garden is looking beautiful. www.lapierreverte.eu
The nursery is teaming with butterflies and dragonflies, and Woody the cat is having a ball dancing around trying to catch them all. Guest arrive weekly and we are busy preparing their accommodation. I’m offering yoga twice a week on a beautiful covered space right by the pool. We’ve had a couple of classes already, ‘al fresco’, and the sense of peace and connection you have with nature is awesome. The yoga has taken on a new lease of life as we lie in Savasana listening to the cicadas and birds, sunlight dappling on the pool. There’s then a rush of energy as people dive into the water after class and freshen up!
We are really hoping to offer retreats next May and give you the chance to experience this beautiful space and region of France. Uzes, the local town is set up on a hill, overlooking lavender and sunflower fields. www.uzes.fr
Every Wednesday and Saturday there are markets offering a range of local produce. The organic movement here is picking up as more and more people start to become aware of it’s importance. At our last retreat we managed to do pretty much everything organically and Ella and Ed are hoping to continue growing enough food for next year so we can feed all our yoga guests completely from the garden.
There are plans to set up a little cafe and juice bar, make a tree house as another dwelling to offer, and organise regular music nights throughout the Autumn. But it’s all going to take a bit of organising!
